John + Kathryn |Married|

First of all, don't their names just go together? John and Kathryn..sounds like a vintage romance novel that I want to read : ) I don't even know where to start with this wedding day so I'll just start: Setting is in beautiful Roger's City, MI which was new territory for me and it was so much fun exploring. The town was about 2 miles long and everyone knew everyone and everyone knew John and Kathryn and the excitement seemed to buzz in the lake town breeze. A friend owned a lovely salon where we started bright and early with hair, makeup, excited chatter. (Sidenote: almost every one of the bridesmaids was preggalicious and absolutely adorable:) Once hair was done, we walked to the church, Kat, with her wedding dress draped over her arm looking radiant. One of my favorite moments of the day was when we did a 'first look' with Kathryn and her dad. It was a beautiful moment. The ceremony happened, and pictures around town began. We stopped at a local bar where even Nick and I managed to get in a photo :) That's a first! The bride took a rather amazing photo so credit is all her own. Champagne was popped and celebrated by everyone in the bar who knew everyone else. The reception was joyous. The highlights were the cake fight, the toasts - especially from John's friend who could not attend because he is serving our country overseas, but sent a precious message and video. The father-in-law dancing, the First Dance between John and Kathryn ... I could go on and on. I loved this wedding. Kathryn and I had met and worked together years ago, so I was beyond excited when she asked if I would shoot their wedding day. It was beautiful, they were beautiful. Thank you for asking me to be a part of your day.
I wish you guys a lifetime of happiness!
